Manor Road in East Central Austin has become quite the little restaurant row for off-the-beaten path diners. There are two great tex-mex establishments: El Chile Cafe and Vivo, a southern home cookin’ Chicken Fried Steak joint, Hoover’s, and today’s eatery of choice, The Red House Pizzeria (formerly Stortini).
So excited about this new site–should be finished up and ready to go in a day or so. In the meantime, we’ve had a fantastic morning! Sleeping in, followed by coffee from Cafe Medici on West Lynn (How much do I love living in Clarksville? Words cannot describe), and a trip to the Farmers’ Market at Republic Square Park.
If you’ve never been to the Austin Farmers’ Market, shame on you! OK, I take it back–to be honest this was actually only my second time. But come on, gorgeous produce, beautiful herbs and plants, and fresh seafood flown in from the gulf–what’s not to love? I am a big fan.
